They're saying Femke Bol has been suspected of steroid use in the past. Haha not surprised. No one runs that fast without PEDs No one respects cheaters though. It truly hurts the sport. If true, people will look down on you guys and especially if you don't care lol Here in Holland we never heard Femke tied to steroids, rumours from her rivals nothing more. She works so hard and look HOW she runs pure technique.

I thought it was very impressive then, but this is the first time I'm suspicious of her. That being said, I'm mostly basing it on what I'm hearing from people here. She may have won this fair and square, but you can't chalk it up to technique. Kaylyn Brown's technique is just as good as hers, but what Bol does have are almost freakishly long legs. If anything is helping, it's the height. And quite possibly, performance enhancing drugs lol
But you had to play it cool, had to do it your way Had to be a fool, had to throw it all away

I agree steroids have been big problem in the Olympics, East Germany, Russia, China, Romania were notorious back in the days. Doping control now is better, I will be the first to condemn athletes if they doped, but there is also a "grey zone" what is allowed. Well said. If nothing comes up, I have no choice but to give her the benefit of the doubt. I don't want to be hard on someone who could actually be an honest person, and there is no solid proof. I was always 50/50 when it came to Usain Bolt. In 2013, the Jamaican anti-doping commission was disbanded because they weren't testing their top athletes. As we both know, a positive result for someone like Bolt would have been catastrophic for the entire sport. Some of Bolt's fans may find it hard to believe that their hero could have used performance-enhancing drugs, but they shouldn’t, especially considering the fact that the USATF successfully suppressed a positive test from Carl Lewis in the '80s

One of those legendary stories in Olympic history, but I was in shock lol.

As a kid, I rooted for all the bad boys, including Ben Johnson, Diego Maradona and John Gotti lol But I have grown quite a bit in my old age, and now I value the good guys a lot more. Today, I would rather have dinner with Nelson Mandela than any of the people I looked up to as a kid

YES !! Netherlands smash world record to win men's team sprint gold AFP Tue, 6 Aug 2024, 8:22 pm CEST·1-min read Netherlands' Roy van den Berg, Harrie Lavreysena and Jeffrey Hoogland on their way to victory (Thomas SAMSON) Powerhouse Dutchman Harrie Lavreysen led the Netherlands to the men's team sprint cycling gold medal on Tuesday in new world record time to successfully defend their title. Partnered with Roy van den Berg and Jeffrey Hoogland, they clocked a blistering 40.949secs at Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines velodrome to consign Britain to silver. Australia took the bronze. It was their second world record of the session after posting 41.191 in the heats to better the 41.225 they set at Berlin in 2020. The same trio won gold in Tokyo three years ago, ending the dominant reign of the Jason Kenny-led British team that owned the title in Beijing, London and Rio. This time Britain's Ed Lowe, Hamish Turnbull and Jack Carlin were no match for the speed, strategy and power of a Dutch team that has been dominant since 2018 when they claimed their first world title. They won four of the subsequent five world championships and are now back-to-back Olympic gold medallists. mp/dj
