The judicial police in Portugal have intercepted more than 3,600 kilos of cocaine this week and arrested three people. In the same investigation, almost 3 tons had already been seized in June.

Soy flour
The 3,600 kilos of cocaine were found in a warehouse in a central part of Portugal. The drugs were hidden in a shipment of soy flour that had been brought in a container. Three Portuguese nationals were arrested.

Not the final destination
In June, nearly three tons of cocaine were found in a warehouse in the Lisbon region. This happened at a company that had legally imported several containers of fruit from a Latin American country. According to the Portuguese police, the company was not aware of the smuggling.

According to a spokesperson for the Portuguese police, Portugal was not the final destination of the seized drugs.
