'Ndrangheta, 41bis confirmed for the Grande Aracri man in Emilia
Nicolino Sarcone has a series of convictions behind him: from 15 years in the “Aemilia” trial to 8 in “Perseverance”

ROME The Court of Cassation has confirmed the 41bis for Nicolino Sarcone, considered a leading figure within the Grande Aracri di Cutro 'ndrangheta gang. Therefore, the appeal presented by the defense (Gravagnuolo and Belardi) against the order of the Rome Tdl of last February 1st, which had ordered harsh prison for the 59-year-old from Cutro, is inadmissible.
A series of sentences weigh on him: 8 years of imprisonment from the "Perseverance" investigation and then 10 years in the Edilpiovra trial and 15 in the maxi-trial "Aemilia". But the heaviest sentence, 30 years, Nicolino Sarcone received in the trial for the 1992 murders, committed in the province of Reggio Emilia, during the mafia war that bloodied Lombardy, Emilia-Romagna and Calabria.
