REGGIO CALABRIA The “Epicentro” trial, held with the ordinary procedure and including the three investigations of the Reggio Calabria DDA “Malefix”, “Metameria” and “Nuovo Corso”, ended with ten convictions and five acquittals . The decision of the collegiate court presided over by judge Silvia Capone arrived in the afternoon. The investigations, in particular, highlighted the criminal hegemony of the De Stefano gang , around which the 'ndrine Tegano, Molinetti, Libri, Condello, Barreca, Rugolino, Ficara, Latella, Zito and Bertuca revolved . Mafia association, extortion and damage are the main accusations made by the Prosecutor's Office led by Giovanni Bombardieri and supported in court by the deputy Walter Ignazitto and the substitute Nicola De Caria. Charges developed thanks to the contribution of collaborators of justice. In the abbreviated appeal trial last July, 44 convictions were handed down with sentences ranging from four years to twenty-one years of imprisonment against members and associates of the most powerful 'ndrangheta clans in Reggio Calabria.
