Drug War: Hells Angels Fight Back
The murder of André Bourgoin, which occurred in Mont-Joli, could have been ordered by the powerful criminal bikers
The Hells Angels may have decided to retaliate in the context of the drug war, as at least one individual who was close to their opponents in Eastern Quebec was reportedly the victim of an internal purge, our Investigation Bureau has learned.

Information obtained in recent days has allowed the police to follow a clear lead to explain the murder of André Bourgoin, which occurred in Mont-Joli on September 7.

These recent revelations suggest that the Hells Angels could have been behind the murder of Bourgoin, 46, known to police as a former drug trafficker who had already been linked to the powerful criminal bikers.
According to our information, Bourgoin has become closer to the Blood Family Mafia (BFM), which has displeased the Hells Angels. The two groups have been engaged in open warfare for over a year and a half for control of drug trafficking. The conflict, which began in the capital, has reportedly spread elsewhere in Quebec.

Five men aged 18 to 27, all living in the greater Montreal area, were arrested in this case and charged with second-degree murder.

Third murder
This could be the third death to occur in the context of the drug war.

On November 27, 2023, former biker Michel “Doune” Guérin was shot dead in front of his residence in Charlesbourg.
Three months later, on February 19, Patrick Martin, 29, affiliated with BFM, lost his life following a hostage-taking that went wrong in Saint-Malachie. One of the people he had held captive and tortured, Stéphane Boutin, took advantage of a moment when Patrick Martin was sleeping to take his weapon and kill him.
This toll could however increase, as a body was discovered on Monday morning in Frampton, near the hideout of Dark Souls, a Hells Angels training club.
Laurendeau too?
It should be noted that the police are also evaluating the possibility that Patrick Laurendeau, attacked on September 7, just like André Bourgoin, could have been targeted by the Hells Angels.
This 47-year-old former drug trafficker, arrested in 2005 as part of the dismantling of a cocaine and ecstasy network linked to the Hells Angels, was the victim of an attempted murder as he was leaving his residence in his vehicle.

In the days following the attack, police believed the Blood Family Mafia might be behind the crime.

Two suspects are still being sought in this case.
