It is ABSOLUTELY crucial for the world to rally behind Israel, as it embodies the core values of Western ideology—freedom, peace, and the all the principles we hold dear. Some of my liberal friends criticize me for my love for this great nation, but they fail to recognize the profound impact Jewish people have had on the lives we now enjoy. I literally can not stress this enough.

The IDF named the slain soldiers as Maj. (res.) Nael Fwarsy, 43, a logistics company commander in the 300th “Baram” Regional Brigade’s 299th Battalion, from Maghar, and Sgt. Tomer Keren, 20, of the Golani Brigade’s 51st Battalion, from Haifa.

Fwarsy was killed and another soldier was lightly wounded after an explosive-laden drone launched by Hezbollah struck an area outside Ya’ara in the Western Galilee.

Keren was killed and eight other soldiers were wounded, including one seriously, after two anti-tank missiles launched by Hezbollah from Lebanon struck a position in the Ramim Ridge area on the border in the Galilee Panhandle.

After Israel completes it's ground operation in Lebanon, I certainly hope that Israel will take enough land to have a proper Buffer Zone from Lebanon and their Terrorist Hezbollah.

Israel’s double-punch humiliation of Hezbollah is a dance on the edge of an abyss
Tactical daring keeps Netanyahu on the front foot but risks lurch into full-blown war

The detonation of walkie-talkies around Lebanon a day after scores of pagers used by Hezbollah officials blew up, is a one-two punch that drives home the extent of Israel’s penetration of its Shia foe’s defences across its northern border.

It represents utter humiliation for Hezbollah that its security can be so effortlessly breached twice, and be shown incapable of protecting its own people.

UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy has called for an immediate ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah.

"Tonight I'm calling for an immediate ceasefire from both sides," Lammy tells the Reuters news agency, after meeting his French, American and Italian counterparts for talks in Paris.

"We are all very, very clear that we want to see a negotiated political settlement so that Israelis can return to their homes in northern Israel and indeed Lebanese to return to their homes."

World reacts to UN vote calling on Israel to end Palestinian occupation
Al Jazeera and news agencies 19 September 2024

Extracts:
United Nations General Assembly UNGA resolution, backed by 124 countries -- small potatoes! -- makes it clear that occupation ‘cannot be allowed to continue any longer’

  • Palestine’s ambassador to the UN
Palestine’s ambassador to the UN Riyad Mansour called the vote a turning point “in our struggle for freedom and justice”

“It sends a clear message that Israel’s occupation must end as soon as possible and that the Palestinian people’s right to
self-determination must be realised” Mansour said

  • Israel’s ambassador to the UN
Israel’s ambassador to the UN Danny Danon slammed the vote as “a shameful decision that backs the Palestinian Authority’s diplomatic terrorism”
Quote
“Instead of marking the anniversary of the October 7, 2023 massacre by condemning Hamas and calling for the release of all 101 of the remaining hostages, the General Assembly continues to dance to the music of the Palestinian Authority, which backs the Hamas murderers” Danon said

  • Palestinian Authority
Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas welcomed the resolution and urged countries across the world to take steps to pressure Israel to adhere to it
Quote
“The international consensus over this resolution renews the hopes of our Palestinian people – who are facing a comprehensive aggression and genocide in Gaza and the West Bank including Jerusalem – to achieve its aspirations of freedom and independence and establish a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital” Abbas said

  • Hamas terrorists
Hamas The Palestinian armed group said it “welcomes the adoption” adding that it reflected “the international community’s solidarity with the Palestinian people’s struggle”

  • Israel
Oren Marmorstein, spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said on X that the resolution was “a distorted decision that is disconnected from reality, encourages terrorism and harms the chances for peace”

  • United States
The US mission to the UN called the resolution “one-sided”, pointing to its failure to recognise that Hamas “a terrorist organization” still exerts power in Gaza and that Israel has a right to defend itself
Quote
“This resolution will not bring about tangible progress for Palestinians” the US said “In fact, it could both complicate efforts to end the conflict in Gaza and impede reinvigorating steps toward a two-state solution, while ignoring Israel’s very real security concerns”

  • European Union
European Union foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said in a statement:
Quote
“The UN General Assembly has forcefully reaffirmed its commitment to the realisation of the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination, including its right to an independent and sovereign State ?living side by side in peace and security with Israel? -- Democratic Israel and murderous terrorists -- in accordance with the relevant resolutions of the UN Security Council and the UN General Assembly”
?!Is EU for real?!

israel is very offensive
all of the north in israel is empty ! everyone in gush dan (tlv) for almost a year now ! (hezbollah been firing rockets since 8.10) so they want a want to end this and get people back home
the thing is that war might bring more enemies because hezbollah are vulnerable and iran won't let them fight alone because if they lose it's over and the ''ring of fire'' that kassam solimani has planned over a decade (it's
a plan to create proxies all over the borders of israel with huge arsenal of rockets and to create chaos and destruction in israel while iran is making the nuclear weapon and finish the job) will be over once hezbollah are out of the picture.

long dominated by countries hostile to Israel -- UN, ICC, ICJ, EU, Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch ?!Are they for real?!

and the 'allies' Including Australia, Britain, Canada, Denmark, Germany, India, Italy, Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland and !Ukraine! abstained while 124 voted to demand Israel end Palestinian 'occupation' and some -- while the murderous terrorists keep raining terror on Democratic Israel

French President Macron condemned the bombings, expressing solidarity and sympathy with the people of Lebanon

newly elected British government very speedily dropped, the previous government's opposition to an international arrest warrant against Benjamin Netanyahu despite pressure from Washington not to do so

The list goes on and on....

Israel’s attacks on Lebanon:
Lebanese group Hezbollah has confirmed its senior commander, Ibrahim Aqil was killed in an Israeli attack on the southern suburbs of Beirut.

It seems Israel is winning the battles but no sign of victory of this year long, terror war

Assassinated Hezbollah and Hamas leaders
Reuters by By Jana Choukeir Editing by Michael Georgy and Andrew Heavens 21 September 2024

Israel killed a top Hezbollah commander in an airstrike on Beirut's southern suburbs on Friday 20 September 2024 the Israeli military and security sources in Lebanon said, escalating a year-long conflict between Israel and the Iran-backed group

Here is a list of some operations against Hezbollah and Hamas leaders and commanders, blamed on Israel

Hezbollah
  • Ibrahim Aqil – 20 September 2024
Hezbollah's operations commander Ibrahim Aqil, who serves on the group's top military body,

Aqil, who has also used the aliases Tahsin and Abdelqader, is a member of Hezbollah's top military body, the Jihad Council

The United States accuses Aqil of a role in the Beirut truck bombings that struck the American embassy in April 1983 which killed 63 people and a U.S. Marine barracks six months later that killed 241 people

  • Fuad Shukr – 30 July 2024
An Israeli strike on the southern suburbs of Lebanon's capital Beirut killed Hezbollah's top commander Fuad Shukr, identified by the Israeli military as the right-hand man of Hezbollah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah

Shukr was one of Hezbollah's leading military figures since it was established by Iran's Revolutionary Guards more than four decades ago

The United States imposed sanctions on Shukr in 2015 and accused him of playing a central role in the 1983 bombing of the U.S. Marine barracks in Beirut, which killed 241 U.S. military personnel

  • Mohammed Nasser – 03 July 2024
Mohammed Nasser was killed in an Israeli airstrike
Israel claimed responsibility, saying Nasser headed a unit responsible for firing from southwestern Lebanon at Israel

Nasser, a senior commander in Hezbollah, was responsible for a section of Hezbollah's operations at the frontier, according to senior security sources in Lebanon

  • Taleb Abdallah – 12 June 2024
Senior Hezbollah field commander Abdallah was killed in a strike claimed by Israel, which said it had hit a command and control centre in southern Lebanon

Security sources in Lebanon said Abdallah was Hezbollah's commander for the central region of the southern border strip and was of the same rank as Nasser

Abdallah's killing prompted the group to fire a massive barrage of rockets across the border at Israel.

Hamas
  • Ismail Haniyeh – 31 July 2024
Ismail Haniyeh was assassinated in the early hours of July 31 in Iran, the Palestinian militant group said

Haniyeh was killed by a missile that hit him directly in a state guesthouse where he was staying. Israel has not claimed responsibility

  • Mohammed Deif – 13 July 2024
Israel's military said Deif was killed after fighter jets struck in the area of Khan Younis in Gaza after an intelligence assessment
The elusive Deif had survived seven! Israel assassination attempts

Deif is believed to have been one of the masterminds of Hamas' 07 October 2023 attack on southern Israel, which triggered the Gaza war Hamas has not confirmed his death

  • Saleh Al-Arouri – 02 January 2024
An Israeli drone strike on Beirut's southern suburbs of Dahiyeh killed Deputy Hamas chief Saleh al-Arouri

Arouri was also the founder of Hamas military wing, the Qassam Brigades

Israel and the life of the Jewish population continue to be under siege from all kinds of Arab terror dangers as well as from odious,
self-serving hypocrisy, double standards and antisemitism

As Israel stands alone, Israel [and us] know that the only hope for the nation’s survival, the only Democracy in the Middle East, lays in the hands of the President of the United States -- as was Franklin Delano Roosevelt FDR served as the "great arsenal of democracy" in World War II and saved Europe

Israeli Prime Minster Benjamin Netanyahu quoted same in his 25 July 2024 speech to US Congress
"give us the tools and we'll finish the job”

In his first televised speech since the unprecedented attacks, which took place over two days and killed at least 37 people, Nasrallah on Thursday called them a “big blow in terms of security and humanity” but said they have failed to bring the group to its knees.

He conceded the attacks were “unprecedented in the history of the resistance movement in Lebanon” as well as “in the history of our country” and “our enemy”.

But Nasrallah said Hezbollah would continue supporting Palestinians in Gaza “no matter what the consequences are, what the sacrifices are, what scenarios will unfold”.

He added that what happened did not impact the group’s command, control or infrastructure.
“I reassure you our infrastructure has not been touched,” he said.

“He is down, but he is defiant,” Al Jazeera senior political analyst Marwan Bishara added, referring to the Hezbollah leader. “[But] it’s a major blow to Hezbollah. There is no doubt about that. ”

“But at the same time, there was something that felt ambiguous when he spoke about keeping the accountability or the retaliation within a very small circle. I think he spoke about the investigation within the organisation, within Hezbollah.”

“We have an answer from him that he’s definitely going to come back but without saying when and how,” Analyst Sultan Barakat, a professor of public policy at Hamad Bin Khalifa University in Qatar, told Al Jazeera, adding that the speech aimed to present a “partial win” for Hezbollah.
