In the EU only Germany and the Netherlands trully defend Israel, the UK as well. Interesting however that populist rightwing parties in Europe do back Israel now, because they see the problems with too many Muslim immigrants.
Don't know -- these 'allies' all abstained in the recent controversial [ultra extreme] UN resolution demanding Israel withdraw from Gaza and the West Bank, the “one-sided” failure to recognise that Hamas “a terrorist organization” still exerts power in Gaza and that Israel has a right to defend itself, against terror
