Between 1979 and 1985, 9,000 Dutch soldiers were in South Lebanon. Their task was to maintain peace and quiet between Israel and the PLO. More as in other peace keeping missions, except Bosnia in the 90s, many developed later in life post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
