I too fail see the relevance of this UN Peace keeping!
If their task was to maintain peace and quiet between Israel and Hezbollah.... dismal failure indeed
While I appreciate this enormous and challenging task -- this UN Peace keeping didn't help / stop Israel and Hezbollah trading blows over the fence since 08 October 2023 and then escalating into the current full blown war
Now smack bang in the middle of this war, these UN Peace keepers are staying put instead of withdrawing to the side lines or getting out altogether -- hindering Israel's operations and human shielding Hezbollah -- I am baffled
Besides 18 years on, Hezbollah has not disarmed as per the UN resolution 1701 following the 2006 Israel-Hezbollah conflict, raising concerns about the effectiveness of UN resolutions aimed at disarming terror outfits
