'Fugitive Marco Ebben surfaces in Mexico'

The fugitive top criminal Marco Ebben has reportedly been spotted in Mexico. He is even said to have taken part in shootouts between rival drug cartels, De Telegraaf reports . Ebben was seriously injured in June this year after being shot in Turkey.

De Telegraaf reports, based on various tipsters, that Ebben was in Culiacán in September, the capital of the Mexican state of Sinaloa, where a fierce war is going on between the government and the Sinaloa cartel. Marco Ebben is said to be a member of an armed group of fifty men who carry out violent jobs for the cartel. The newspaper is said to have photos and videos of this.

Last month, Ebben was reportedly shot at in a shooting while driving an armored BMW M6. The bullets went straight through the vehicle, killing the driver of the car. According to the newspaper, Ebben is said to have close ties to the son of former Sinaloa drug lord Ismael “El Mayo” Zambada García. The latter was arrested last summer at an airport near El Paso in the United States .
