Alright fellow board members, I need some recommendations. I'm planning on visiting Italy next year for the first time and spending 2 weeks in country. Not sure what time of year yet (that'll depend upon price) but either the summer or fall. This is my (brief) list so far. Any and all recommendations are appreciated!

-Rome/Vatican
-Venice
-Sicily (still not 100% sure if I'm going as the travel to and from will eat up some time). Was going primarily for Godfather filming locations and for anyone who's been, is it worth going for that reason?

Also, I'm not much of a wine drinker so wine country is pretty lost on me. I will try the wine while there but I've never gotten into wine save for Chianti or Port.
-Is the Leaning Tower of Pisa worth the visit?
-Pompey worth a look either?

Irishman, you shouldn't miss Florence and Siena - very beautiful, historic, fine cuisine. Pick good restaurants everywhere and let the proprietor recommend wine. A lot of good Italian wine is produced locally, never makes it to US. If you like Chianti, try Brunello di Montalcino and Tignanello, both stars of Tuscany.
