All recruitment gangs are defunct since early 2000s.
There still gangs made only on in part by wannabe mobsters in NY or Philly or Chicago where there are still a little mob activity?

12th street players in Cicero has a connection to the Outfit and is still in existence. Its a good place to find guys willing to commit crimes such as robberies & drug dealing.

Don't hear much about the C-Notes anymore. I believe they are defunct.

I wonder what happed to C-Note, who used to post on here? I always thought his name came from the slang term for money, I wonder if he got it from the above gang name? Hey was a good poster.

How recognisably Italian are, Italian Americans these days?

Culturally? as I'd suspect the language is almost dead save for a few words.

Still much ' working class' ( in the old sense rather than the can't afford house's these days version)?

The new generation does not value what their grandfathers did. They really do not care about being Italian at all as they are so far removed from their families roots. What's unfortunate is that their parents probably hid things from them in regards to their families history and they don't even have a clue if their grandfather or great grandfathers were involved in the life.

They live their life in the suburbs and aspire to be some fuckin computer nerd that dresses like shit!
