REGGIO CALABRIA The checks planned to protect legality continue in the city as part of the National and Transnational Action Plan Focus 'ndrangheta .
In recent days, a specific high-impact activity was carried out in the Ciccarello neighborhood, involving the State Police, the Carabinieri and the Guardia di Finanza.
Following the planning, a security device was put in place to control the territory with simultaneous judicial police activity.
During the checks, the personnel of the UPGSP and the Administrative and Social Division of the Police Headquarters found, in a room used as a storage area for various materials, precisely inside a car door, 1 7.65 cal. pistol, with serial number erased and complete with ammunition, 1 6.35 cal. pistol, with serial number erased and magazine with ammunition, as well as 1 cardboard box containing various ammunition .
In another building, a narcotic substance of the marijuana type weighing a total of 11 grams was found and, in a room used as a storage room, located on the ground floor of a building, 2 car control units, 1 motorcycle control unit, 1 ignition lock or switch for motorcycles and 1 license plate of a car stolen last January were recovered.

Furthermore, in an abandoned apartment closed with a reinforced door, the State Police personnel found, in a cavity in a wall, a package with two jewelry boxes containing gold jewelry weighing approximately 320 grams and, in another room of the same apartment, in a cavity in a wall, a plastic container was recovered containing banknotes of various denominations for a value of more than 34,000 euros . All the material found was seized.
