UK’s PM declines to label Israel’s war on Gaza ‘genocide’
Green Party parliamentarian Carla Denyer urged the United Kingdom’s Prime Minister Keir Starmer to label the Gaza crisis as “genocide” after Israel’s parliament banned UNRWA and blocked UN aid.
Starmer expressed concern about what is taking place in Gaza but refused to describe it as genocide.

The term "genocide" was introduced into international law by the Polish-Jewish legal scholar Raphael Lemkin , who became involved in the Nuremberg Tribunal after fleeing Poland.
What is happening in Gaza is horrible, so many innocent people die, but to call it genocide is to put it on the same level as the Holocaust and the Nazis.
