For the third time this week, a large shipment of cocaine has been seized in the port of Vlissingen: Customs seized 278 kilos of cocaine on Friday.

According to the Public Prosecution Service Zeeland/West-Brabant the catch was made during a 'regular customs check'. The cocaine was hidden in boxes with bananas. The container had been brought in from the Dominican Republic and was in transit to Spain.

The Public Prosecution Service estimates the street value of the cocaine, if it is fully cut and sold on the street, at 20 million euros.
