Morocco arrests notorious “drug lord”
In Morocco, a notorious drug lord was arrested on Sunday: Ould El Fatemi. According to the Royal Gendarmerie of Berrechid, he was wanted for more than thirty criminal offenses. His sister was also arrested during the operation. The Gendaremrie seized unknown quantities of hash, kif, and cocaine, as well as smuggled alcohol.

Drug cartels
The arrest took place in the early morning in Had Soualem, in the province of Berrechid, southwest of Casablanca. Three SUVs and three motorcycles were also confiscated.

Ould El Fatemi has been associated in Morocco for many years with the large-scale production of hashish and its distribution from Morocco to Europe. But there are also reports that he has ties with internationally operating drug cartels, which bring cocaine north from West Africa.

It appears that the Moroccan government is responding to the increasing flow of cocaine being brought into the country across the Sahara.

“Limouni”
In September of this year, “Limouni” was arrested in Fnideq. This “Limouni” had been on the run for 25 years.

He was seen by the authorities in Morocco and Spain as a key player in the transport of hashish from Morocco to Spain, but also as a factor in the cocaine trade between Morocco and Spain.

He will have to stand trial again in a partly time-barred criminal case for which he was sentenced in absentia to ten years in prison.

Morocco has supposedly been one of the big heroin suppliers to the United States, but is always overlooked. KIf, which I believe is smoked, was plentiful in New York, especially Brooklyn and Queens during the 1990's, but never caught on with Americans.

High-quality Moroccan hash is aromatic and buttery smooth. It induces a pleasant, stimulating high and contains relatively small amounts of THC. wink
