Arrests Made in Connection with Camorra Clan in Giugliano in Campania

This morning, the Carabinieri of the Giugliano in Campania Company executed a pre-trial detention order issued by the Judge for Preliminary Investigations of the Naples Court, at the request of the District Anti-Mafia Directorate, against four individuals strongly suspected of the crime of participating in a Camorra-type criminal association known as the Mallardo clan, operating in the territory of Giugliano in Campania. In particular, one of the suspects is believed to have had the role of a contact person for the criminal organization, with directive and decision-making powers regarding the strategies to be adopted. Another suspect is alleged to have acted as a trusted person for one of the clan's leaders, tasked with organizing meetings and gatherings; the other two with executive roles in carrying out illicit activities.
