ROME Top officials who were also in contact with Calabrian individuals for the supply of drugs, and in particular cocaine, sold at a good price, at least according to what emerges from the wiretaps. Drugs destined for the drug dealing centers of Lazio, in the provinces of Rome and Latina , whose trafficking was managed by an armed gang composed of "individuals who ensured the stable supply of the drug dealing centers of Fondi, Latina, Terracina and Nettuno with large quantities of hashish, marijuana and cocaine, with a logistical-operational base in Fondi". The investigation, born from three investigations that merged into one, led to the arrest of 16 people accused, to varying degrees, of belonging to an association aimed at drug trafficking aggravated by the use of weapons, extortion, usury, private violence and aggravated threats.
The organization
At the top, according to what was reconstructed by the DDA of Rome, there were Massimiliano and Gianluca Del Vecchio, and Jhonny Lauretti, accused of having "established, directed, organized the consortium and in this role for having been the hierarchically superior top exponents in order to all the illicit activities carried out by the association, with the role of supplying the narcotic substance to the intermediate distributors operating in the territory and of directing all the activities aimed at procuring the narcotic to be used for dealing and the subsequent activity of supply, transfer and sale, maintaining a constant connection between the members, even during periods of detention, assigning specific roles to each, giving instructions to the participants on the methods of carrying out the conduct of transfer, transportation and distribution of the narcotic as well as extortion and on the distribution of profits, managing the cash and the disputes between the associates and distributing the profits among the members as well as through the use of violence against the criminal groups operating in the city of Fondi". And it was Luigi Buonocore who "ensured a stable supply channel for large quantities of narcotic substances, particularly cocaine, ensuring supplies even without immediate payment of the entire agreed sum, negotiating the price per kilo of cocaine from time to time with the promoters Lauretti and Del Vecchio".
Luigi Buonocore and his ties to the 'ndrangheta
Buonocore himself had been involved in 2017 in the investigation by the Guardia di Finanza of Rome “Luna Nera” , which shed light on the relationships between Roman crime and the criminal environments of the 'ndrangheta established in Rome and linked to the boss Maurizio Rango , and of the Camorra, in synergy with the group of the boss Michele Senese, representative of the Moccia Camorra clan of Afragola, and the highest exponent of the Camorra in the Capital. Luigi Buonocore and his brother Carmine, according to what was ascertained by the investigators, represented the connection between these environments .
Contacts with Calabrians for the purchase of cocaine: "They make it at 35 thousand per kilo"
In several conversations intercepted and reported in the arrest warrant, members of the criminal group refer to relationships with individuals of Calabrian origin. "The Calabrian has it", "I'm dealing with the Calabrian" , we read in the chats with reference to the narcotic substance. And, in particular, in a conversation between Jhonny Lauretti and Buonocore, the former asks to lower the price of the substance since the Calabrians, with whom he claimed to be in contact, could sell it to him for 35 thousand euros per kilo. "Brother, the Calabrians have it. He wants 35. I swear" , Lauretti writes. But the bond that tied him to Buonocore had nevertheless induced him to continue to prefer him as a supplier: " But I don't trust him . I don't buy it ". " They only have remade stuff, trust me ". " I prefer to buy from you, you're a brother " . ( m.ripolo@corrierecal.it)
