Seizure of 700 thousand euros from a man from Gela near the Stidda by Donata Calabrese

The Palace of Justice of Caltanissetta Assets suspected of being mafia-related, worth 700 thousand euros, were seized from a forty-two-year-old from Gela believed to be close to the Sanfilippo di Mazzarino clan belonging to the stidda. Two properties, a business with related corporate assets and bank accounts belonging to Emanuele Brancato ended up in the crosshairs.
The measure was carried out by the military of the provincial command of the Guardia di Finanza of Caltanissetta following a decree issued by the preventive measures section of the Caltanissetta court, at the request of the district anti-mafia directorate of the Nissena prosecutor's office.
Brancato, in 2021, was involved in the anti-mafia operation Chimera, conducted by the Gela Carabinieri and coordinated by the DDA and which allowed investigators to dismantle, between Gela and Mazzarino, a dangerous mafia association dedicated to extortion, drug trafficking, illegal possession of weapons, murders and cases of lupara bianca.
