Macron, Trump and Zelensky meet together in Paris

Ukrainian President Zelensky has updated President-elect Trump on the situation in Ukraine. Zelensky reported this on X after his meeting with Trump and French President Macron in Paris. He thanked Macron for organizing the meeting.

"President Trump, as always, is resolute. I thank him," Zelensky wrote. According to him, he, Trump and Macron have agreed to continue working together. "We all want this war to end as soon as possible and in a just way."

The conversation took place shortly before the festive reopening of the Paris Cathedral of Notre-Dame. Zelensky and Trump, like numerous other heads of state and government, are in the French capital for the ceremonies. The cathedral was badly damaged by fire in 2019 and has since been restored.

Trump and Macron greeted each other warmly before their two-way conversation and embraced. Trump said the two had "a good time" during his first presidency. He also said "it seems like the world is going a little crazy right now. And that's what we're going to talk about."
