A new directive issued in October by Houthis states,

operators of wedding halls in Sana'a, the Houthi-controlled capital of Yemen 1. must end the festivities by 8PM 2. the use of loudspeakers is also prohibited 3. the windows of the halls must remain closed to prevent the sounds of celebrations from being heard in the streets outside
It is also forbidden to, 1. photograph the bride 2. hire the services of DJs 3. or musicians 4. maintain the tradition of celebratory gunfire
