‘Dismantling the Kinahan crime gang is a priority’ — top detective vows to bring back cartel to face justice

The west Dublin crime gang known as ‘The Family’ has now overtaken the Kinahan cartel as the most significant drugs gang operating in Ireland, the Sunday Independent can reveal.
There are now 17 organised crime networks under investigation across the country, one of the force’s most senior officers has said.
