Becoming 14 is a special time and age for most anyone. These are, for me, the Top 10 albums that were released during my year of being 14:

This funky tune was written and produced in 1983 by the legendary production duo Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. Former members of The Time, a band closely associated with Prince, they missed a gig during a blizzard while producing music for the SOS Band. Prince fired them for prioritizing external projects—a twist of fate that ironically granted them the freedom to craft this iconic hit.
The song, known for its minimalist groove and emotional depth, became a massive success and influenced many. It has been widely sampled, most notably by Beats International in Dub Be Good to Me (1990) and later by artists like Tupac Shakur, Faith Evans, and Mariah Carey.

Ahh yess! The thing about Heat is that it always feels new for some reason. You watch a movie from '95 and you can tell it's from '95, but Heat feels like it was made yesterday
So this is probably my favorite instrumental from the whole movie and it's placed so perfectly. That whole scene is insane. You got the number 1 gangster in LA being chased by Hanna in a helicopter and then they have him catch up with him in a waiting car. You can't get more gangster than that H lol
