VIBO VALENTIA Pantaleone Mancuso “Scarpuni”, the boss of the 'ndrangheta of Limbadi and Nicotera Marina, remains in prison. He was arrested during the raid by the Catanzaro DDA “Porto Salvo” last April. The Court of Cassation rejected the appeal for the annulment of the measure of the Catanzaro Review Court which had already confirmed that of the investigating judge of the Vibo Tribunal. The 63-year-old boss is accused of being the instigator of the murder of Davide Fortuna, killed on the beach in Vibo Marina on the afternoon of 6 July 2012 in front of his family, as part of the mafia war between the Piscopisani clan and the Patania clan of Stefanaconi, supported by the boss Mancuso himself. “Scarpuni” Mancuso is already serving other life sentences for the murder of Francesco Scrugli and the wounding of Raffaele Moscato and Rosario Battaglia, which occurred in March 2012 in Vibo Marina.
