Albanese slammed for not visiting Israel amid friction with Australia’s Middle East ally

Sky News contributor Louise Roberts slams Prime Minister Anthony Albanese for not visiting Israel and attempting to mend the relationship between the two countries.

Her remarks come after Attorney-General Mark Dreyfus is set to visit Israel amid friction with Australia’s ally in the Middle East.

“The only person who should be going to Israel on behalf of Australia is the Prime Minister of Australia,” Ms Roberts said.
“He should be going there to clean up his own mess in order to try and repair the relationship with the Australian Jewish community which he’s given very little credence to.

“I don’t buy this argument from him that he’s sending the right person. He’s not sending the right person, he should be sending himself.”
