I read about this in the newspaper a couple days ago. The Wizard of Oz is one of my favorite films of all time (I've loved it since I was a child), so this is particularly exciting news.

"Growing up my dad was like 'You have a great last name, Galifianakis. Galifianakis...begins with a gal...and ends with a kiss...' I'm like that's great dad, can we get it changed to 'Galifianafuck' please?" -- Zach Galifianakis

I knew holding off from buying the One-Dic version would result in my good fortune. That Three Disc set is all mine.

The particular treet is the Home Movies by Harold Arlen which I've hgeard of but never seen. I wonder what he was doing on-set since he only wrote the songs.

Mmm, I can't wait to burn this one.

But yes, Wizard of Oz is timeless, and if you haven't seen it, shame on you. It's on frequently, as a few of the networks just showed it over the 4th of July holiday weekend. Clearly a masterpiece. I dunno whether I need the "super-deluxe" edition though, I think the 2-disc'er is fine for the casual fan like me.

Quite "shittily," if that is a word, which I know it's not. I usually go to my friends house, he uses Bitorrent and then uses the Pirate Bay website, but it rarely works. But I do know for a fact that many people use them frequently, and prefer them to P2P networks. I however still like Limewire. My friend is currently downloading Episode III. :p

The cover arts have been released.

Scroll down to see the 2 Disk box and 3 Disk box.

The third disk, as seen in the first post contains silent adaptations of the book before the classic talkie.

Wouldn't it be great if it had an alternate commentary track of Dark Side of the Moon for the synchronization?

They show the original silent version on TCM usually after/before the 1939 Judy Garland classic version. It's alright, as far as silents go.

And I've never tried the Pink Floyd trick, but people swear by it. I think it would be funny if they just included it as an audio track, that way you could just switch over. Though the rights and legality, I doubt it would work.

Yeah, the silent version is kind of askew.

The Pink Floyd thing is something I wanna do. They say the ironies continue even after repeats. The album plays two and a quarter (or half) times through the film.
