De Niro in his prime is not the same guy let's face it he's old.


But Vito looked like an old man in 1959. Let’s also not forget that The Irishman had scenes with De Niro where Sheeran was supposed to be in his twenties!! Remember those 1940s scenes? We all know how goofy that looked. At least there’s no de-aging tech used in Alto Knights. That being said, I completely agree that the De Niro of today is not the De Niro of 1980. I was one of the first to raise those concerns when they went ahead with The Irishman, but my main gripe was always with the de-aging tech.
