Recently read “A Matter of Honor” again. One of the better books in the genre and Remo was a great cop who was really looked up to by many cops!
That is one of the better mob books.
What about the cop called McCabe ( Doug? John? ????).
Must be a 1970s - 1980s. NYPD era. Probably the cop name that comes up more than any other.
I'm sure in the Gaspipe book, Casso named him as dodgy when he was spilling his guts to the feds.
But never read that any where else. When he does get mentioned it's always for ' harassing ' mob guy's with surveillance, knocking on doors etc.
Any info?
