Name 'em! Here's my top 3

1. Heat
2. Scarface
3. Reservoir Dogs

My avatar has everything to do with this scene

But you had to play it cool, had to do it your way
Had to be a fool, had to throw it all away

Tough question but I'd probably have to go with:

1. Kill Bill (consider both volumes one film)
2. Scarface
3. Scream (1996)

You also got Scarface. Jesus H it's basically my list lol. I was sure you'd put Tarantino up in there though because you talk more about him than almost anybody I know

I love that you put Scream up in there. That's a unique choice, but I totally understand it. Favorite movies don't always mean best

Yeah Tarantino and Scorsese with Goodfellas also had an impact on me but I can only pick three lol.

Scream had such a huge impact on me. Horror is my favorite genre and this film revitalized it at a time when it was dead. Not to mention the reveal of who the killer(s) were totally got me (although unfortunately, it's becoming predictable now within the franchise).

My favorite Dutch films

1) Zwartboek (2006)
2) Soldaat van Oranje (1977)
3) Amsterdamned (1988)

This year there will be a sequel of the latter.
Here is the first one.

Great lists. As I said, favorite does not always mean best. I always say that No Country For Old Men is the best movie I've ever seen. Every frame is just perfect. The Shawshank Redemption also deserves to be mentioned in this context.

Favorite and best is def not the same for example The Godfather part I and II are great, but Apocalypse Now is retrospectively considered one of the greatest films ever made; it has been assessed as Coppola's masterpiece.

Oof...difficult to just limit myself to three, but I guess;

1) Apocalypse Now
2) Mulholland Drive
3) The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974)

If I'd make it a Top 10, I'd probably round it out with;

4) Once Upon a Time in the West
5) Pulp Fiction
6) The Godfather
7) Die Hard
8) The Thing
9) Reservoir Dogs
10) Lost Highway

Anyway, here's an overview of movies I've rated the full score;

Great list. I like that you're a David Lynch fan. I'm a big fan of Blue Velvet, Wild At Heart and Mulholland Drive. Loved Twin Peaks too

Yep The Hustler is #4 for me. If it had more hustling and pool playing in it I would have it over TCOM simply because you had Newman & Gleason.

I agree with you. The Color of Money was way more real. More relatable and hit harder. The Hustler is mainly good because of the performances

Yep I'm a pool nut so I wanted more of it in The Hustler, those are definitely the best part of the movie with Fast Eddie and Fats going back and forth with each other and interacting.
