From: The Guardian January 26, 2025 In a widely expected move, Trump reversed Biden's paused delivery of the 2,000lb (907kg) bombs When asked why he released the powerful bombs, Trump responded: “Because they bought them.” What is the point? What use are they for handcuffed Israel? Iran and its terror armies - Axis of Evil / Resistance, calling the shots... everything on their terms 1. Ceasefire with terrorists Hezbollah 2. Cease-fire/hostage deal with terrorists Hamas It seems, it is more Hamas than Israel deal Solely stacked against Israel It is only a partial hostage release and there is nothing that stipulates Hamas must disarm or even any conditions on them

Israel's former allies turned foes are singing a different tune now that Trump administration: 1. US is fully committed and has promised “unwavering support” for Israel 2. unbreakable bond that exists between the United States and Israel.
From: Anadolu Agency Ankara, Türkiye January 26, 2025
Netanyahu says Macron stressed importance of Israel's participation in Paris Air Show Exhibition is scheduled to take place in French capital on June 16-22
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Sunday that French President Emmanuel Macron has stressed the importance of Israel taking part in next June’s Paris Air Show.
Last year, France barred Israel from participating in a naval weapons exhibition, citing its war on Lebanon and ongoing genocide against Palestinians in Gaza.
In a statement, the Israeli Prime Minister's Office said that Netanyahu spoke this afternoon with French President Emmanuel Macron, who stressed the importance of Israel's participation in the 55th Paris Air Show scheduled for June 16-22
As of yet, no official French statement on the matter was available.
Previously, Macron called for halting arms shipments to Israel over its offensive in Gaza.
Last October, Spain also announced its decision to bar Israel from taking part in the May 2025 International Defense and Security Exhibition (FEINDEF) in Madrid.

From: The Guardian January 26, 2025 Trump’s Gaza proposal rejected by allies and condemned as ethnic cleansing plan US president has suggested Palestinians should leave Gaza for neighbouring countries to ‘just clean out’ whole strip Donald Trump’s proposal that large numbers of Palestinians should leave Gaza to “just clean out” the whole strip has been rejected by US allies in the region and attacked as dangerous, illegal and unworkable by lawyers and activists. The US president said he would like hundreds of thousands of people to move to neighbouring countries, either “temporarily or could be long-term”. Destinations could include Jordan, which already hosts more than 2.7 million Palestinian refugees, and Egypt, he added. “I’d rather get involved with some of the Arab nations and build housing at a different location where they can maybe live in peace for a change,” Trump told reporters on Air Force One. You’re talking about probably a million and a half people and we just clean out that whole thing and say: ‘You know, it’s over Before Trump took office, an official from his transition team said the administration was discussing relocating 2 million Palestinians during reconstruction if the current tentative ceasefire held.

Forced displacement of residents would be a war crime. Hassan Jabareen, the director of Palestinian rights group Adalah, said: “To ‘clean’ Gaza immediately after the war would in fact be a continuation of the war, through the ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian people,” Omer Shatz, a lecturer in international law at Sciences Po Paris and International Criminal Court (ICC) counsel, said: Trump’s comments were a “call for ethnic cleansing” that echoed calls from extremist Israeli politicians and public figures dating to the start of the war. Hamas officials rejected Trump’s suggestion, saying: People who survived the war would not leave during peacetime, as did stranded Palestinians on the roads leading to north Gaza. Magdy Seidam said: 1. “If he thinks he will forcibly displace the Palestinian people [then] this is impossible, impossible, impossible,” 2. “The Palestinian people firmly believe that this land is theirs, this soil is their soil.” "No matter how much Israel tries to destroy, break, and to show people that it had won, in reality it did not win." The Palestinian news agency Ma’an reported, Mustafa Barghouti, a senior Palestinian politician, saying: He “completely rejected” Trump’s comments. Barghouti warned against attempts at “ethnic cleansing” in Gaza, saying: “The Palestinian people are committed to remaining in their homeland.” Gaza’s population before the war was 2.3 million. Jordan, and Egypt have both made clear they will not take refugees from Gaza. On Sunday, the Jordanian foreign minister, Ayman Safadi, said: his country’s rejection of any displacement of Palestinians was “firm and unwavering”. The Council on American–Islamic Relations (CAIR) civil advocacy rights group said: Trump’s suggestion was “delusional and dangerous nonsense” in a statement that also described it as a proposal for ethnic cleansing.

- The Palestinian war against Israel is a zero-sum game—either
1. Israel wins, ensuring its survival and the terrorists are defeated; or 2. the terrorists win and Israel’s countdown to destruction begins; - Cease-fire/hostage deal with Hamas is 'a bad and dangerous deal'
Hamas wins the war -- control of Gaza [ back] to Hamas Phase 1, 2 and 3 Hamas survives not only intact but in full control of Gaza, respected worldwide as the jihadist force that committed genocide and survived to rebuild and do it again and again 1. Palestinian proto-state controlled by terrorists all over again 2. Hamas will renew its genocidal assault on Israel sooner rather than later - Iran and its terror armies - Axis of Evil / Resistance
The terrorists will never stop trying to destroy Israel especially now that they know Israel will be the Global pariah no matter what terror atrocities they commit, in their unified barbaric hatred of Jews and bloodlust 1. Trump must stand with Israel and back Israel, 2. returning to the battlefield to secure Hamas’s defeat in Gaza 3. maintaining its buffer zones in Gaza permanently to prevent the area from threatening the Jewish state in the future 4. for Lebanon security zone to prevent Hezbollah and other terror forces from invading Israel For the nation of Israel and the State of Israel to survive, Israel must win this war no matter what the cost Also for, 1. all of its soldiers’ hard-won gains on the battlefield over the past 15 months of war 2. horrifically wounded soldiers and soldiers returning in coffins There can be a substantial gap between Trump’s rhetoric and the reality of what he does... I reckon, he hopefully perhaps show Iran and its terror armies, who's the Boss once: 1. ALL the hostages are released 2. and the bodies of the dead are returned

From: The Jerusalem Post January 28, 2025 80 Anniversary of The Liberation Of German Nazi Concentration And Extermination Camp, Auschwitz
editorial: Cheapening the Holocaust: Irish president’s remarks equate Nazi and Gaza conflicts
Irish President Michael Higgins grossly distorted Holocaust Remembrance Day with a speech that equated the Holocaust and the Israel-Hamas War.
If Sunday’s speech by Irish President Michael Higgins in commemoration of International Holocaust Remembrance Day is any indication, the world is still more comfortable honoring dead Jews than defending live ones.
In a grotesque distortion of the meaning of the day, which is meant to commemorate the six million Jews who were slaughtered at the hands of the Nazis, Higgins: 1. spewed disdain for Israel, the refuge and guardian of Jews 2. and the insurance policy that the Holocaust will not repeat itself.
Higgins not only injected equivalency to Israel’s war in Gaza to free the hostages held by Hamas after it brutally attacked Israel on October 7, 2023 but focused on the humanitarian situation in Gaza instead of the more than 90 hostages still held captive by the brutal terrorist group. Day 481
Higgins said: 1. The grief caused to families by the horrific acts of October 7 and the response to them, is unimaginable. 2. The loss of civilian lives, the displacement of people, the destruction of homes and institutions – all are beyond comprehension, 3. The current agreement must end the killing and urgently provide a massive increase in humanitarian aid to save more lives.
Transparently attempting to connect the Holocaust to Israel’s actions in Gaza over the last 16 months, Higgins said: 1. When wars and conflicts become accepted or presented as seemingly unending, humanity is a loser. 2. War is not the natural condition of humanity: cooperation is.

What does any of that have to do with International Holocaust Remembrance Day?
There is a time and place to hurl criticism of Israel and its policies, but it’s not on a solemn day that honors those slaughtered by the Nazis and those who survived.
At Monday’s main ceremony marking the 80 anniversary of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp in Poland, where roughly 1.1 million Jews were murdered, 1. only 50 survivors were expected to be present – 2. down from 300 a decade ago 3. and 1,000 a decade before that.
The focus should be entirely on them – now more than ever.
Incidents of global antisemitism have spiked to unprecedented post-World War II levels, and public figures like Elon Musk are quoted telling supporters of the rising far-Right German political party Alternative for Germany (AfD) that “there is too much focus on past guilt, and we need to move beyond that.”
Clearly, the lessons the world needed to learn from the Holocaust are getting muddied and faded the further, we move from the actual events that took place.
As the survivors die, and along with them their first-hand accounts of the horrors perpetrated against the Jews, the easier it will be for people like Higgins to diminish their magnitude and use them for cheap political gain.

The US provides Israel with billions of dollars each year in military aid. In one of his first decrees, Trump froze almost all international aid except for military assistance to Egypt and Israel.
Last week, Trump also authorised the transfer of 900kg (2,000-pound) bombs to Israel, which had been paused by his predecessor, former US President Joe Biden, in May of last year.
Netanyahu, a leader for whom the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued an arrest warrant over alleged war crimes in Gaza, expressed gratitude for that decision on Sunday.
the Israeli prime minister said in a social media post: “Thank you, President Trump, for keeping your promise to give Israel the tools it needs to defend itself, to confront our common enemies and to secure a future of peace and prosperity,”

From: The Times of Israel January 30, 2025 US President Donald Trump insists that Jordan and Egypt will support a proposal to resettle Palestinians in their countries rather than in a rebuilt Gaza, despite flat refusals from both countries to consider the move. Trump says when asked about the proposal during a photo op in the Oval Office: “They will do it. They will do it. They’re gonna do it, okay? We do a lot for them, and they’re gonna do it,” Both Egyptian President Abdel Fatah el-Sissi and Jordan’s King Abdullah explicitly rejected the proposal on Wednesday. Sissi said: “Regarding what is being said about the displacement of Palestinians, it can never be tolerated or allowed because of its impact on Egyptian national security,” What about the continuing terror impact on Israeli national security? Trump said earlier this week that the issue would be discussed with Benjamin Netanyahu when he travels to Washington next week

From: The Jerusalem Post January 30, 2025
To be clear from the outset The Jerusalem Post does not in any way endorse the concept of removing the Palestinians from Gaza or forcibly transferring them.
1. Arab leaders talk big on Palestine—but where’s the real support? 2. the question remains of what Israel’s Arab neighbors can do, to help the solution.
Why is it that every time the Palestinian issue flares up, Arab nations are 1. quick to offer condemnation 2. but slow to offer real, tangible solutions?
Here is the real hypocrisy of the Arab world when it comes to Palestine: Their support is largely symbolic. 1. They will fund Hamas with millions of dollars, 2. ensure the conflict remains alive as a political cause 3. and shout slogans of “resistance.”
But when it comes to real, material support – there is nothing: 1. taking in refugees, 2. investing in infrastructure, 3. ensuring governance that does not rely on terror
The Gulf states, flush with oil wealth, have spent decades funding radicalism while doing little to improve the actual lives of Palestinians.
1. Where are the new Palestinian cities built with Emirati or Saudi investment? 2. Where are the Arab-led peace initiatives that involve something more than just anti-Israel resolutions at the UN?

Egypt which controlled Gaza from 1948 until 1967 has gone to great lengths to avoid entanglement with the Palestinians on its border.
The Egyptian government has erected barriers so formidable that they make Israel’s security infrastructure look lenient by comparison: 1. A six-meter concrete wall, 2. barbed wire, 3. an underground steel barrier –
it’s all there, ensuring the Palestinians of Gaza remain there. If only Israel had ensured the terrorists Hamas remained there...
For all the fiery statements of support for the Palestinian cause, Egypt treats Gaza like a hostile entity, not a suffering neighbor.
The Rafah border crossing, the only exit from Gaza not controlled by Israel, remains tightly controlled by Cairo. Even at times of dire humanitarian crises, when medical aid is desperately needed, the border is often shut tight.
The truth is, Egypt’s actions speak louder than its carefully curated diplomatic statements: It does not want to deal with the Palestinians of Gaza. No Arab country does...

From: Haaretz January 30, 2025 If Trump Is So Concerned About Gazans, Why Doesn't He Bring Them to America? Trump loves business deals, and he examines the Middle East with the eye of a real estate man, which is why he can't understand the unequivocal rejection his plan to 'clean out' Gaza has received, from Jordan, Egypt, and above all, the Palestinians themselves Donald Trump's idea of, 1. transferring more than one million refugees from the Gaza Strip to countries like Egypt and Jordan 2. and perhaps with a demand that the leaders of those two countries cooperate, 3. proves just how much the president of the United States and his wealth of advisers at the White House – 4. and maybe the whisperers into the ears of the decision-makers in Washington and in Israel – 5. are evaluating their moves with a classic colonialist outlook. Why is it always the Western countries that have to come to the rescue? And then all these 'refugees' bite the hand that feeds them 1. haven't seen any of the 50odd Muslim countries offering refuge and taking in any Palestinians -- wonder why! 2. They all shut their borders real quick and keep them shut The 50odd Muslim countries never welcome or offer refuge, to their fellow Muslims radical Islam antisemitism cancer rampant, around the World including the Vatican

From: The Jerusalem Post January 23, 2025 Hamas commander back from the dead and Israel's Gaza problem
Reappearing Hamas commander Hussein Fiad claims Gaza 'victory' after IDF thought he was killed.
A commander of Hamas fighters in Beit Hanun and elsewhere in northern Gaza, who was believed to have been killed in May, appeared in a video on Wednesday. Hussein Fiad apparently has a new lease on life.
He gave a short speech after reappearing in the wake of the ceasefire. Standing with several men, the gaunt Fiad, sporting a short beard, spoke about how Hamas had succeeded in Gaza.
Israel had not achieved its goals in Gaza, he said, adding that when one doesn’t achieve their goals, they lose. This is what “they call military rules: The strong one loses when he doesn’t win,”
Fiad implied that the weaker side, Hamas, won simply by virtue of not losing. He was laying out clearly what the Hamas strategy was: It was not to lose.

How to measure losing is unclear, but it appears that Hamas believes it has not lost as long as 1. it emerges after the war 2. and can run Gaza
A video uploaded to Instagram shows Hussein Fiad, the commander of Hamas' Beit Hanoun battalion, recently speaking to a group of people. While the video is undated, it appears to be authentic.
The IDF said last May it eliminated Fiad
1. Israel measures winning differently. 2. Israel didn’t have a clear strategy in Gaza. 3. Therefore, it was harder for it to win, because it didn’t seem to have a clear goal or “day after” plan.
Hamas knew this and assumed if it just waited long enough, then it would “win.” Fiad is a kind of symbol of this challenge in Gaza.
Last May, the IDF claimed it had eliminated Fiad. It blamed him for rocket and missile and attacks against Israel. It said he was the commander of the Beit Hanun Battalion, and that he had been killed in Jabalya.
Ynet reported in May: “As part of IDF operational activity in the area of Jabalya, Israel Air Force special forces and the special Yahalom Combat Engineering unit eliminated terrorist Hussein Fiad, the commander of Hamas’s Beit Hanun Battalion, who was in a tunnel in northern Gaza,”
