The article clearly states that one was an associate, the other was a made man. If they're both informants, then they both most probably admitted as much. Sounds like some people are having a hard time swallowing the fact that a corrupt cop is staying more true to omerta than the wiseguys he was working for. Repulsive I know, but it's true.
