Let Donald Trump make Gaza great again - opinion
The Jerusalem Post by Martin Oliner 01 February 2025

Extracts:
  • If Trump receives the international support he deserves, President Trump will succeed at making Gaza great again
There has been an international uproar since US President Donald Trump told reporters on Air Force One on a flight from Las Vegas last weekend that he wants Arab countries to absorb the population of Gaza during its reconstruction

Trump merely said, he told Jordanian King Abdullah II that he would like Jordan and Egypt to take in Palestinians temporarily or on a long-term basis and that he would discuss the matter with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi

The idea was immediately mocked by Israel’s enemies and the usual naysayers

United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Occupied Palestinian Territories Francesca Albanese called it,
Quote
“ethnic cleansing… illegal, immoral and irresponsible”

Hassan Jabareen of the anti-Israel organization Adalah said,
Quote
relocating Gazans “would in fact be a continuation of the war, through the ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian people”

The Council on American–Islamic Relations called it,
Quote
“delusional and dangerous nonsense

Qatari officials said it crossed a redline

Let Donald Trump make Gaza great again - opinion
The Jerusalem Post by Martin Oliner 01 February 2025

Extracts:
  • Trump's Gaza 'care' plan face many hurdles
Even an analysis in The Jerusalem Post disrespectfully mocked the proposal, saying,
Quote
“Trump’s ideas for rebuilding Gaza and turning it, into a successful beachfront state, kind of like a large Miami, face many hurdles”

Knowing President Trump, such condemnations will only strengthen his resolve and determination to do the right thing by implementing this idea and proving all his critics wrong

The president was right in saying that much of Gaza is currently inhabitable though I would have preferred, Trump add context,
Quote
blaming Hamas for dooming Gazans by attacking Israel mercilessly on October 7, 2023

He has worked in real estate long enough to understand that during lengthy reconstruction projects, out of the box thinking is required

Those who purport to care about Gazans should be gushing with praise for the president for caring enough to find them a positive resolution to their current problems

And those like myself who do not believe Gazans are worthy of any mercy should welcome it as well
Gazans ruled by terror are between a rock and a hard place....

Let Donald Trump make Gaza great again - opinion
The Jerusalem Post by Martin Oliner 01 February 2025

Extracts:
  • Collective guilt
LET’S NOT mince words here

The people of Gaza are collectively guilty for invading Israel, murdering, raping and kidnapping Israelis and holding them hostage
It was not just Hamas terrorists who held Israeli civilians captive

Physicians, journalists and United Nations staff from the upper echelons of Gazan society enthusiastically joined that nasty effort

It was Dr. Ahmed Al Jamal and his son, journalist Abdullah Al-Jamal, who held hostages Almog Meir Jan, Shlomi Ziv and Andrey Kozlov at their home in Nuseirat

The IDF rescued them in June in the same operation that freed Noa Argamani, who President Trump hosted for his inauguration events

The actions of the Gazan people prove they need detoxifying education before the reconstruction should even be able to begin

They are fundamentally evil and they must pay a price for their actions
Innocent Gazan people who are not fundamentally evil, paying a brutal price for Hamas' terror actions

Let Donald Trump make Gaza great again - opinion
The Jerusalem Post by Martin Oliner 01 February 2025

Extracts:
  • If enough countries get involved, the international problem of Gaza could be solved
The countries who take in Gazans should properly screen and monitor them to prevent them from causing further harm

Besides Egypt and Jordan, other Muslim countries like Indonesia and Saudi Arabia should take them in
Canada, Australia, Mexico and every country in South America and Europe can take their share

Egypt gave hope by accepting 70 terrorists in Saturday’s hostage release
Surely, they can also take Gazans who have not been convicted of any crimes and the criminals, hoodlums terrorists who takes them?

The Jerusalem Post by Martin Oliner 01 February 2025

Extracts:
  • Israel and Saudi Arabia
IT IS IMPORTANT to keep in mind that before the October 7 attacks, the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman was moving full speed ahead toward normalizing relations with Israel and expanding the Abraham Accords

The attacks were aimed at scuttling that promise and succeeded

  • Abraham Accords
Trump’s administration will soon take action to move the accords forward and shift the dynamic of the Middle East, in the right direction it was heading in during the president’s first term

Bin Salman MBS had told the Palestinians to get on board with the accords or miss the train
They missed out by not taking that advice

During the war, the Abraham Accords premise of bypassing the Palestinians and moving forward the normalization of relations between Israel and Arab countries has been proven smarter

Taking the Palestinians out of the equation is the key toward,
1. reaching more successful accords
2. and relocating them is a good way to do that

Let Donald Trump make Gaza great again - opinion
The Jerusalem Post by Martin Oliner 01 February 2025

Extracts:
  • serious challenges including neutralizing Hamas
Getting Hamas out of Gaza would also be another blow to Iran 16 months of brutal war, the terrorists back in control of Gaza

There is hope that the further weakening of Tehran will enable America or Israel to attack the Islamic Republic’s nuclear facilities and initiate a process that will lead to the regime change that is the key to making Israel, the region and the entire world safer

It may sound like a serious challenge
But that is why Americans have elected a president who is such a bulldozer, after enduring four years of an ineffective
commander-in-chief The power of president Trump is enormous

We need to support Trump's creative ideas and work with him to make them a reality

If Trump receives the international support he deserves, President Trump will succeed at making Gaza great again

Trump's Gaza 'Riviera' echoes Kushner waterfront property dreams
Reuters by James Mackenzie 06 February 2025

Extracts:
  • Trump's Gaza 'Riviera' echoes Kushner waterfront property dreams
US President Donald Trump's vision of a Gaza Strip cleared of its Palestinian inhabitants and redeveloped into an international beach resort under US control has revived an idea floated by his son-in-law Jared Kushner a year ago

The idea, outlined by Trump in a press conference on Tuesday, has drawn shocked reactions from both Palestinians and Western critics who say it would be tantamount to ethnic cleansing and illegal under international law

But it was not the first time Trump has spoken of Gaza in terms of real estate investment opportunities

In October last year, Trump told a radio interviewer,
Quote
Gaza could be "better than Monaco" if rebuilt in the right way

Trump's Gaza 'Riviera' echoes Kushner waterfront property dreams
Reuters by James Mackenzie 06 February 2025

Extracts:
  • "Gaza valuable waterfront property"
The idea of a radical redevelopment of Gaza was aired soon after Israel began its campaign in the narrow coastal enclave following the Hamas-led attack on Israel on October 7, 2023 most prominently by Kushner, who as special Middle East envoy in Trump's first term helped drive the "Abraham Accords" normalizing relations between Israel and a number of Arab countries

Kushner, once described the entire Arab-Israeli conflict as
Quote
"nothing more than a real-estate dispute between Israelis and Palestinians"

Kushner said at an event in Harvard in February 2024
Quote
"Gaza's waterfront property, it could be very valuable if people would focus on building up livelihoods"

"It's a little bit of an unfortunate situation there but I think from Israel's perspective, I would do my best to,
1. move the people out
2. and then clean it up"

Kushner himself was a property developer in New York prior to Trump's first term

Trump's Gaza 'Riviera' echoes Kushner waterfront property dreams
Reuters by James Mackenzie 06 February 2025

Extracts:
  • Trump's Gaza 'Riviera' proposal "has not been thought through and is impossible to implement"
There were also doubts about how literally Trump's proposal should be understood, given his reputation as a freewheeling dealmaker used to unsettling his negotiating partners with attacks from unexpected angles

Saudi Arabia, is the predominant power in the Arab world and a source close to the royal court in Riyadh stated,
Quote
We "will not take this statement very seriously"

"It has not been thought through and is impossible to implement, so Trump will eventually realize that"

In a statement on Wednesday, Saudi Arabia's foreign ministry said the kingdom rejected any attempt to displace the Palestinians from their land Both the Palestinian Authority and Hamas also condemned the remarks

Reuters could not establish whether Kushner, whose private equity firm has taken investments from Gulf countries including $2 billion from Saudi Arabia, has engaged in any discussions in the region about Gaza investment

Trump’s Gaza plan won’t happen but it could certainly shake up the region
The Times of Israel by Lazar Berman 06 February 2025

Extracts:
  • Trump’s “clean out” the Gaza Strip plan won’t happen but it could certainly shake up the region
Moving Gazans to Arab countries won’t work but neither will ending the war with Hamas the strongest force in Gaza
New ideas are needed and this might spark more viable solutions

As is often the case with Donald Trump, there were plenty of headline-worthy statements that came out his meeting with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu

1. The US president said the Saudis were not demanding a Palestinian state; Saudi Arabia disputes otherwise
2. that the current Israeli government could complete the hostage release deal;
3. that Iran is “very strong right now”;
4. that the US would get more violent if Hamas didn’t release all the hostages

Yet the statement leading evening news shows in the US and news sites around the world was about the future of Gaza:
Quote
“The US will take over the Gaza Strip and we will do a job with it too"

"We’ll own it and be responsible for dismantling all of the dangerous bombs and other weapons on the site”

Trump’s Gaza plan won’t happen but it could certainly shake up the region
The Times of Israel by Lazar Berman 06 February 2025

Extracts:
  • This wasn’t Trump speaking off the cuff
He was reading from prepared remarks during a joint press conference with Netanyahu, the first foreign leader to visit the White House since the Republican returned to office in January

Though Trump often stakes out unexpected positions as a tactic to help get what he wants on other matters, he seemed to be sincere about this one

Shortly before that, Trump said in the Oval Office that he wants Palestinians to leave Gaza and that ideally they would not return to the war-torn region

Netanyahu seemed not to know how to react to the outlandish plan and said noncommittally,
Quote
“I think it’s worth paying attention to this”
Quote
“We’re talking about it. Trump’s exploring it with his people, with his staff"
"I think it’s something that could change history and it’s worthwhile really pursuing this avenue”

Trump’s Gaza plan won’t happen but it could certainly shake up the region
The Times of Israel by Lazar Berman 06 February 2025

Extracts:
Trump’s “clean out” the Gaza Strip plan won’t happen
Quote
Aaron David Miller, Middle East analyst says; “Zero chance of it happening”

Gazans, who survived 15 months of punishing attacks by Israel,
  • largely don’t want to live in exile
  • and Trump isn’t going to send US troops to push almost 2 million people out of the Strip
  • Nor will Egypt and Jordan go along with it, despite Trump’s confidence that their reliance on US aid and military support gives him enough leverage to push them to take in massive numbers of Gazan refugees
  • For both countries, Trump’s proposal crosses red lines

Jordan’s regime lives in perpetual fear that the Israeli right will implement the idea that Jordan is Palestine and will treat the Hashemite Kingdom as the Palestinian state

Jordan is already mostly Palestinian and the influx of hundreds of thousands more Palestinians would destabilize a country that already suffers from legitimacy problems and accusations that it serves as a Western stooge against the interests of Palestinians

Egypt also sees the potential influx of Gazans as an existential threat
It remembers Hamas breaching the border wall in 2008 and up to 700,000 Palestinians pouring into the Sinai

The incident led to new ties between jihadists in the Sinai and Hamas, which helped the Islamic State affiliate in the peninsula carry out a bloody insurgency against Egyptian forces

The Sissi government in Egypt views the Muslim Brotherhood as its mortal enemy and is not about to allow thousands of fighters from the Brotherhood-affiliated Hamas into the country

Israel’s peace agreements with Egypt and Jordan are foundations of its national security and it would be unwise to back a policy that could destabilize two regimes that cooperate closely on military and security issues

Trump’s Gaza plan won’t happen but it could certainly shake up the region
The Times of Israel by Lazar Berman 06 February 2025

Extracts:
  • Dangers and opportunities
Even if the plan doesn’t move forward, Trump merely floating the idea presents dangers and opportunities

Emptying Gaza of Palestinians is the dream of Israel’s far right and hearing the US president back the idea will make the ultranationalists believe that the goal is attainable

Now, even if Netanyahu can get Hamas out of Gaza, it won’t be enough for some of his coalition partners

They will want to see Netanyahu work to implement Trump’s plan and could threaten his political survival if he opposes the idea

If Netanyahu continues his approach of backing Trump’s ideas to stay in his good graces, he could undermine Israel’s alliances with Jordan and Egypt, with nothing to show for it

Trump’s Gaza plan won’t happen but it could certainly shake up the region
The Times of Israel by Lazar Berman 06 February 2025

Extracts:
  • Trump and Netanyahu have much they can accomplish together
They can put an end to Iran’s nuclear program, cement Israel’s place in the region and go after hostile organizations like the courts in The Hague and various UN agencies

Wasting energy and political capital on Trump’s Gaza idea is not the ideal way to take advantage of the potential created by the current alignment of political stars

And it is hard to predict the effect Trump’s proposal will have on hostage talks

It could convince Hamas that holding on to the male hostages is the only way to keep him from moving ahead with his Gaza program

And it gives the terror group the opportunity to present itself to the Palestinians and the Arab world as the one force fighting to keep Gazans in their homes against US-Israeli designs

Trump’s Gaza plan won’t happen but it could certainly shake up the region
The Times of Israel by Lazar Berman 06 February 2025

Extracts:
  • opportunity for Netanyahu in the chaos
At the same time, there is opportunity for Netanyahu in the chaos

Israel’s demands for Gaza — Hamas leaders in exile, its fighters disarmed and a new international consortium overseeing the Strip — may suddenly seem reasonable and desirable to regional players compared to Trump’s suggestion

Moreover, the prime minister can curry favor in Egypt and Jordan if he quietly moves Trump away from the expulsion idea

Even if the plan is a nonstarter, it could have another important benefit

Trump isn’t afraid of challenging conventions and forcing leaders to disabuse themselves of old, tired notions

1. Moving Gazans to Arab countries might not work
2. but neither will ending the war while Hamas remains the strongest force in Gaza

New ideas are needed for Gaza and for the Palestinian issue in general

Trump might be detached from reality in the region but his willingness to move beyond decades-old failed ideas could open the debate to novel approaches to the Palestinian issue, a challenge in desperate need of creative solutions in the coming years

Trump imposes sanctions on ICC accusing it of targeting US and Israel

Trump has been critical of ICC since it issued arrest warrant for Benjamin Netanyahu over alleged war crimes in Gaza

Donald Trump has signed an executive order authorizing sanctions against individuals and their families who assist the international criminal court (ICC) accusing the body of “illegitimate and baseless actions targeting America and our close ally Israel”.

Trump has been a vocal critic of the ICC since it issued arrest warrants for the Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, and his former defense minister Yoav Gallant last November for alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza, along with several Hamas leaders simultaneously.

The signing of the order coincides with Netanyahu’s visit to the US Capitol, which included an Oval Office meeting earlier this week.

It was unclear how quickly the Trump administration would announce names of people sanctioned.

Since facing backlash in Washington for the warrants, the ICC had been bracing itself for retaliatory moves by Trump.

The threat of US sanctions has loomed over the court for months, with multiple ICC sources saying that the court’s leadership feared Trump would not wait for legislation to pass but rather would issue a swift executive order creating the legal basis for multiple rounds of sanctions.

Officials described it as a “worst case scenario” that the US would impose sanctions against the institution in addition to measures targeting individuals.

Trump has previously argued that the ICC had “no jurisdiction, no legitimacy and no authority” in the US during his first term as president.

Who will show Trump and Netanyahu that they’re not above the law? It has to be Europe

The US president is quick to roll out the red carpet for an ally wanted for war crimes. Now Europe must stop placating them

Donald Trump’s proposal to evict 2 million Palestinians from Gaza is an unashamed declaration of support for ethnic cleansing.

As so often, he seems ready to ignore moral and legal codes alike.
“Deportation or forcible transfer of population” is listed in the Rome statute of the ICC as a crime against humanity.

And yet a US president has put that idea on the table. Trump insists this would be in everybody’s interest.

According to him, Palestinians would not want to return to their homes. “I have heard that Gaza has been very unlucky for them,”
The population is, in Trump’s words, “living in hell”, with “death and destruction and rubble and demolished buildings falling all over”.

He made no mention of Israel’s responsibility for that death and destruction and rubble.

Guardian makes no mention of Hamas' responsibility for their tunnel-based urban warfare terror using civilians as human shields

Netanyahu is the problem, not the solution, even if Trump refuses to acknowledge this.

But it is not just Trump who has reacted with indignation on Netanyahu’s behalf.
European governments seem more eager to placate the dangerous bully than to confront him.

European governments, despite being co-founders of the ICC have been reluctant to accept their obligation to arrest Netanyahu if he sets foot on European soil.

It shouldn’t be left to smaller parties such as Britain’s opposition Liberal Democrats to describe the proposals as dangerous.

While the latest statements by Trump are deranged, they can’t be ignored.
Fudged language becomes impossible if a leading ally proposes, endorses or commits serious crimes.

Prime Minister’s Office says that during a meeting between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and bipartisan senate leadership, the US lawmakers expressed “unqualified support for the Prime Minister and Israel, and praised Israel’s achievements in the war.”

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu tells the senators that
“Iran must be prevented from obtaining nuclear weapons and that Hamas in Gaza must be eliminated.”

The senators promised to pass a law punishing the International Criminal Court, says the PMO.

Among those in attendance were Senate Majority Leader John Thune and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, who has fiercely criticized the Israeli premier in the past.

Trump’s vision for Gaza revives idea once reviled in Israel
Resurgent ultranationalist movement latches on to US president’s proposal to relocate Palestinians.

From: Haaretz February 6, 2025
Axis of Alarm: How Trump's Plan to Expel Gazans Is Uniting Arab States – and threatening Israel

Trump's plan to relocate two million Palestinians ensnares the leaders of all Middle Eastern countries, not just Egypt and Jordan, in a dilemma fraught with threats

With a few smug and self-assured words, U.S. President Donald Trump thrust the Israeli-Palestinian conflict back into the heart of international discourse,
1. pulling the Gaza Strip out of the "humanitarian disaster" category
2. and turning it into a symbol of national "steadfastness."

Trump's Plan to 'Save' Gaza Means Killing the Palestinian Nation and Dismembering Its Body
Trump's ideas could turn out to be terribly clever or terribly dumb.

But there's no doubt that they're inconceivably cruel.
That cruelty is manifested in the fact that in declaring that the US will take over Gaza, no one bothered to ask Palestinians at all

It's not entirely clear whether U.S. President Donald Trump actually has a coherent policy for Israel, Palestine and the Middle East.
He rolled out his most detailed ideas yet in a joint press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday.

Rubio: Countries criticizing Trump’s Gaza plan should step up and ‘find a solution’
Katz: defense officials discuss plans for Palestinians to ‘voluntarily’ leave Gaza

Rubio says people will have to relocate in 'interim' while Gaza is rebuilt
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio says Gaza residents will need to relocate temporarily while the territory undergoes reconstruction due to dangers from unexploded weapons.

Gaza currently is "not habitable" due to dangers such as unexploded weapons, and people would have to live elsewhere while the area is rebuilt, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Thursday.

Rubio, answering a reporter's question during a visit to the Dominican Republic, encouraged other countries to step forward and offer to help rebuild Gaza but did not say whether Palestinians would be able to return to the area under a proposal by US President Donald Trump to take over and develop the Gaza Strip.

"I think that's just a realistic reality, that in order to fix a place like that, people are going to have to live somewhere else in the interim," Rubio said.

Trump’s controversial plan to take over Gaza was announced during his joint press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday.

Several White House staff members have made attempts to walk back the severity of the statement, saying the plan would only call for a “temporary evacuation.”

Rubio says nations critical of Trump’s Gaza plan should ‘step forward’

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said countries denouncing President Trump’s recent comments on Gaza should “provide a solution”.

“There are countries in the region who express a lot of concern,” Rubio told reporters in the Dominican Republic.
“We encourage them to step forward and provide a solution and answer to that problem.”

Trump doubles down on US ‘ownership’ of Gaza

US President Donald Trump has restated a vision in which the US would take over Gaza, after officials in his administration appeared to contradict his earlier comments.

Trump says Israel will hand over Gaza to US after fighting ends

"The Gaza Strip would be turned over to the United States by Israel at the conclusion of fighting," Trump said on Thursday.
He reiterated that the idea would mean resettling Palestinians, and that no US soldiers would be needed.

Trump's resettlement idea has prompted accusations that he is planning ethnic cleansing, and has drawn condemnation from the UN, human rights groups and Arab leaders.

Analysts doubt it will ever happen.

After Trump's first comments on the issue, his officials suggested any relocation would be only temporary.

Under his plan, Trump wrote on Truth Social, Gazans"would have already been resettled in far safer and more beautiful communities, with new and modern homes, in the region".

The US would then be part of an effort to redevelop the enclave, he said.
His post did not make clear whether the two million residents of the Palestinian territory would be invited to return.

Under international law, attempts to forcibly transfer populations from occupied territory are strictly prohibited.

US president has suggested Palestinians should leave Gaza for neighbouring countries to ‘just clean out’ whole strip

Both allies and adversaries of the US are saying Trump’s plan to ‘take over’ and forcibly displace Palestinians from Gaza is not acceptable and condemned as ethnic cleansing plan

A few of the many world reactions...
Saudi Arabia: ‘Non-negotiable’ flatly rejects Trump’s Gaza takeover plan
Egypt: importance of moving forward with recovery projects in Gaza without Palestinians leaving the territory
Iran: does not agree with any displacement of Palestinians
Jordan: stresses the need to put a stop to [Israeli] settlement expansion, rejection to displacement of Palestinians
Germany: Gaza Strip belongs to the Palestinian people, their expulsion would be unacceptable
Spain: Gaza is part of the future Palestinian state
France: reiterates its opposition to any forced displacement of the Palestinian population of Gaza
Ireland: displacing the people of Gaza anywhere else would be in clear contradiction with the UNSC resolutions
Brazil: Trump’s proposal “makes no sense. This is something incomprehensible to any human being
Britain: Palestinians must be allowed home, to rebuild and prosper in their homelands, in Gaza and the West Bank
Australia: refused to directly comment on Trump’s speech, not going to have a running commentary on Trump's statements

Rubio, qualified it, he spoke of temporary relocation so that the Americans can clean up and rebuild because that will have to happen now the area is simply unliveable and remains a danger to Israel.
That it will become an overseas territory of the US is also quite realistic, but the Palestinians must decide of course and they are entitled to a share of the oil and gas revenues that they can collect there.

As always, Israeli critics yet again, present no “comprehensive” plan how to -- just continue their “unbalanced and biased” attitude toward Israel

As Raphael Cohen, the director of the strategy and doctrine program at the RAND Corporation, wrote in Foreign Policy:
Quote
“If the international community wants Israel to change strategies in Gaza then it should offer a viable alternative strategy to Israel’s announced goal of destroying Hamas in the strip

*And right now, that alternate strategy simply does not exist”

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio says nations critical of Trump’s Gaza plan should,
1. ‘step forward’
2. provide a solution and answer, to the Gaza problem

*And right now, that alternate strategy simply does not exist

Economic Plan for Rebuilding Gaza
The Times of Israel by Tal Schneider 07 February 2025

Extracts:
  • destroy Gaza and restart from scratch
George Washington University GWU economics professor Joseph Pelzman wrote detailed proposal for Trump’s team;
Quote
you have to destroy the whole place, restart from scratch

US President Trump’s proposal to relocate Gaza’s Palestinians and then redevelop the Gaza Strip has sent shockwaves worldwide

Rejected by the Arab world and much of the international community, it has been welcomed by Netanyahu as an idea that
Quote
“could change history” “worth listening carefully to” and “the first original idea that has been raised, in years”

For one man in Washington, however the proposal Trump unveiled when hosting Netanyahu at the White House on Tuesday came as no shock: George Washington University GWU Professor Joseph Pelzman

  • An out-of-the-box Economic Plan for Rebuilding Gaza
An expert in economics and international relations and head of the university’s Center of Excellence for the Economic Study of the Middle East and North Africa (CEESMENA) Pelzman authored the plan and submitted it to Trump’s team as early as July 2024

The details of Pelzman’s plan were first made public by Dr. Kobby Barda, an Israeli historian specializing in American politics and
geo-strategy, during a discussion Barda held with Pelzman on the podcast “America, Baby”! in August 2024

Pelzman told Barda
Quote
“I figured, well, why don’t I write sort of an out-of-the-box perspective on how to fix Gaza after the war is finished”
The paper went to the Trump people because they were the ones who initially had an interest in it – not the Biden people

I was asked [by Trump’s team] to think outside the box on “what do we do” after [the war] as nobody was really talking about it

  • An Economic Plan for Rebuilding Gaza: A BOT Approach
Pelzman’s paper, titled “An Economic Plan for Rebuilding Gaza: A BOT Approach” has since been published in the Global World Journal (Pelzman wrote it up, in July 2024 but it was put online, in October)
