In regards to men on the street when he was active in the 1980's?
What would have happened to him if he never got arrested? Would he have gone on to be one of the top 3 guys in the family? Possibly the overall boss?
Pitera was like the DeMeo of the Bonannos. If he would not be arrested he would remain a feared wiseguy but not even a boss.
Why would he have never been considered for boss? Tommy was a made guy while Demeo was not. Comparing apples to oranges.
I imagine Tommy probably would have been a Capo pretty much his entire career at the very least.
