'Ndrangheta, raid in Germany: two people arrested
The operation involved around 160 police officers in the cities of Leipzig and Duesseldorf

ROME Two alleged drug dealers were arrested around 12:00 today by German police in Leipzig and Düsseldorf. The men, aged 30 and 56, both Italian, are believed to be members of a ' ndrangheta gang , which has been active for almost thirty years, according to the Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk (Mar).
According to the accusation, they have trafficked large quantities of cocaine in recent years, as reported by the State Criminal Office (LKA) of Thuringia and the Gera Public Prosecutor's Office, which specializes in organized crime. According to a spokeswoman for the LKA, the origins of the drug trafficking lie in Thuringia.
160 police officers and three police dogs were deployed. According to the LKA, searches are still ongoing in Leipzig, Düsseldorf and Koblenz.
