I suggest you guys watch ‘American Rackets’ free on YouTube great documentary.

Was his son Rocco inducted into the Genovese family and when?

I just found out earlier he passed away in August 2024. What was the status of his other son who released a book, My Father, My Don. I remember back in the day I thought he was a fraud.

I believe Pasquale "Paddy Mack" Macchiarole was a soldier in his crew before taking over as a capo when Jimmy Nap died.

Thats incorrect, Malavita.

Paddy Mack had been a member, and later became a capo, many years before Jimmy Nap even got straightened out. Furthermore, Macchiarole got "whacked out" not long after Napoli was inducted in the mid-1970s, and obviously, before Napoli was later elevated to a capo post.

Here is a true, accurate biography that I wrote profiling Napoli's life and career.

I also researched and wrote an entire series about Macchiarole and the crew he led. I titled it the "Paddy Mack Gets Whacked" series.

If he was made in the 70s he couldn’t have been capo for very long, what 10-15 years? I was always under the impression he was at least eligible becoming a capo due to his efficiency in the gambling side of the family.

And what about Rocco? I seen an instagram page calling him a ‘soldier, under his father capo Jimmy Nap’ any truth to this?

Jimmy was always a very well respected guy. And, quite frankly, he really didn't want to be inducted. That is a fact. All through the 1950s, 1960s and into the 1970s, he operated at as high a level, and often, at a higher level, than many made guys, even some captains.

Jimmy was already well into his mid-60s by the time he accepted the 'honor' of induction. And, arguably, it was the worst move he ever made! He only accepted it because Chin pushed it on him.

And no, Rocco was never brought in. For that matter, his two other sons, Tony and Jimmy Jr., whom everybody called Lefty, were never brought in either. Because even though each was a hoodlum in his own way, Jimmy did not want that for his boys.

I think the ‘Napoli crew’ are gone, at best nearly gone.

Jimmy Napoli Jr. - 1934 - June 2022

Anthony Napoli - 1935 - May 2019

Rocco Napoli - 1946 - August 2024

My bad then.

The reason i made that assumption is that Paddy Mack had a beef with the Colombo family and the matter was then handle at a higher level between Colombo bosses and Jimmy Nap, on behalf of the Genovese family. So I assumed Paddy Mack was under Jimmy Nap.

It's all good, MV.

After all, each of us comes on here to expand our knowledge, banter between us, and share with one another, right?
