Sounds like typical government braggadocio. It's almost like they don't want to admit that Cosa Nostra is still powerful despite over 30 years of hard government struggle.

Gaspare Ofria nephew of the well-known mafia boss Gaetano Badalamenti has been arrested in Sofia, Bulgaria. Ofria, sentenced to six years and eight months in prison, had been a fugitive for approximately two years. In 2023, he was sentenced to serve a cumulative sentence relating to previous sentences, including one for fraudulent bankruptcy in competition, another for illicit use of credit cards in competition and a final one for violation of family support obligations.
