«Favorants of Messina Denaro», Urso and Accardo return to prison

The Carabinieri of Trapani, assisted by the military of Turin and La Spezia, have executed the prison order against Raffaele Urso, 66 years old, and Nicola Accardo, 60, alleged supporters of the mafia boss Messina Denaro.

The Attorney General of the Court of Appeal had appealed after the release of the two, last October, due to the expiration of the maximum terms of pre-trial detention. Urso and Accardo had been arrested as part of the anti-mafia operation Anno Zero to dismantle the network of supporters of the then fugitive Matteo Messina Denaro. After their release, the two were subjected, in Turin and La Spezia, to the precautionary measures of the obligation to report to the judicial police, a ban on leaving the country and a ban on residing in Sicily.
