Chief of IDF Operations Directorate Major General Oded Basiuk to resign from military

Basiuk in private conversions has taken responsibility for his part in the military’s failures in the lead-up to the October 7 onslaught and during the attack itself.

according to an IDF probe, Basiuk's unit, the Operations Directorate:
1. failed to build an accurate picture of the attack in real-time
2. and deploy troops to the right locations
