It may not even be for any fame, believe it or not there's a lot of people out there who just hates rats, and I can imagine rats who live openly and brag about it makes people even angrier.
99% of civilians could not care less about rats lol. You should see some of the baffled faces who go on Skinny Joey's podcast. They truly struggle to make sense of his burning hatred for rats. They think he's insane. Why? Because they're not criminals like him. Even Joey Diaz looked perplexed when Joey went off lol. The only people who give a fuck about rats are either old-line guys in the street or mentally challenged adults who've watched the Sopranos one too many times. That's it!
I don't agree, especially with that 99% number. Most people despise a rat, and not just gangsters or Doprano's fans. By the way, The Sopranos show was actually very sympathetic to rats, so I don't get that comment. I saw the Merlino with Joey Diaz, he seemed to be in agreement with Merlino.
