Apparently cryptic words, there are dates and names more or less known, from the world of football to that of entertainment. But above all those who gravitate around the huge business linked to the San Siro curves. The prosecutor of the DDA of Milan, Paolo Storari, leafs through it in front of Andrea Beretta, born in 1975, former leader of the Inter ultras and now a collaborator of justice after having killed, last September 4, 2024, the scion of the Calabrian 'ndrangheta, Antonio Bellocco. Among the names that catch the eye, there is also that of an Inter legend: the former captain - and now vice president - Javier Zanetti.

There are numerous notes that “cite” him in the pages of Beretta’s diary where he wrote down everything, meticulously, as he himself had already told the prosecutors. The prosecutor’s question is spontaneous: did he call Zanetti to go eat at his place? In fact, in more than one note, we read “lunch for Zanetti” , arousing the prosecutor’s curiosity. “When I went to eat at his restaurant, maybe, I would call and ask for a discount. Like ‘Look, I’m going to eat, give me a discount’”. “Discounted” lunches, then, but not only that: “We also talked about football, about things… he would give us a hand, maybe with the fans” , Beretta explains, “to give us some help, maybe in terms of bringing in banners, for the choreography”, then Zanetti “talked to Marotta, those people over there”. As explained by the repentant, he spoke directly with Zanetti, «we also exchanged phone calls via WhatsApp, I had him do a mural in Pioltello, with him with Champion, he came to the club…» «there was a relationship, he is a very good man» Beretta says, with admiration, to the prosecutor.

Then from the investigators, a specific question. "Did you ever introduce Zanetti to Antonio Bellocco?". Even in this case, Andrea Beretta does not shy away and explains to the prosecutors: "Let's say I didn't introduce Antonio to him, but a friend of his, who was organizing something, an event where Zanetti was going to go... I intervened to have this guy who was a friend of Antonio's greet him during the event...", but personally "no, no" and he specifies again: "I had him make maybe some video greeting messages, maybe for some of his friends, 'make a video greeting'. Maybe it's your birthday, this guy's birthday..."
Relationships that Zanetti himself, a couple of months ago, had confirmed. "I only had acquaintances with some members of the organized fan base, I've been in the club for 30 years, of course I know some of the ultras and this someone contacted me", he explained in an interrogation. "I've always told these types of people not to put me in difficulty".

Among the photos submitted to Andrea Beretta's attention, there is one of a certain Garino, «A member of the Inter Vikings, a prominent figure, he often comes into clashes with us . Addicted to the use of knives» but, he explains, «I had forbidden him to come to the stadium, some arguments had arisen with Nino Ciccarelli about girls, well, their tarantellas». «Now he will surely have returned, when the cat is away the mice will play». When asked by the investigators about the work carried out by Garino, the repentant former ultra leader says: «He basically works as a blockhead for a temporary employment company of Puma, a guy who also comes to the curve, but his name doesn't come to mind. The one who gave the job to Antonio Bellocco» . According to Beretta, «he works as a blockhead for Puma, he receives a salary to not do a damn thing».

Another topic touched on by the prosecutors was the relationship with a certain Busnelli, owner of the transport company of the same name that, according to what emerged from the “Doppia Curva” investigation, would have provided the means of transport to the Inter fans’ management during away matches. The prosecutor Storari explained to Beretta that Busnelli himself denied the theory according to which Beretta, Ferdico and Bellocco had purchased a bus and registered it in his name . “The bus is ours,” replied the collaborator of justice, “we collected the money with our work at the Curva, tickets, things… I know that Marco intended to undertake this work activity and that he brought him the money, he gave the money to Busnelli”. “And I exclude any possible fraud by Marco, I saw the bus 100%, it was cream-coloured”. And he insists: «It's something we set up, we didn't say too much maybe (...) we tried to get in touch with the Milan guys, if they needed to maybe use him for away games».
