US Secretary of State Marco Rubio referred to the arrest of Palestinian activist Mahmoud Khalil earlier this months.
"If you are coming to [the] US to join pre-terror riots we will deny you a visa," he wrote, adding, "President Trump isn't Biden."
In a statement on Friday, homeland security secretary Kristi Noem said it was a "privilege to be granted a visa to live and study in the United States". "When you advocate for violence and terrorism that privilege should be revoked, and you should not be in this country," Noem said.
