General Motors reacts very pleased to entry as eleventh F1 team
It has just been announced that Formula 1 has reached an agreement in principle with General Motors to enter as the eleventh team in 2026. General Motors is delighted.

Big news on Monday night: Formula 1 has reached an agreement in principle to welcome an eleventh team to the grid in 2026. It concerns the project around Andretti, which will operate under the name Cadillac Formula 1 Team. The large concern General Motors is behind the team, reacts happily to the news and is already anticipating the entry.

"As the pinnacle of motorsport, F1 demands groundbreaking innovation and excellence. It is an honor for General Motors and Cadillac to join the world's premier racing series. We are committed to competing with passion and integrity to improve the sport for racing fans around the world," said Mark Reuss, president of General Motors.

“This is a global platform for us to demonstrate General Motors’ engineering expertise and technology leadership at a whole new level.” The team will most likely be on the grid in 2026, but General Motors will join as an engine supplier at a later date. General Motors itself states that it will be building its own F1 vehicles and power units entirely by the end of the decade.

Mario Andretti, the 1978 world champion, will join the team's board as managing director. "My first love was Formula 1 and now, 70 years later, the F1 paddock is still my favorite place. I'm absolutely excited about Cadillac and Formula 1," says Andretti. "To still be involved at this stage in my life... I have to pinch myself to make sure I'm not dreaming."

Red Bull must have changed something because they sucked in the sprint then before you know it Max was fastest in Q1-3 and even Perez was top ten. What a clusterfuck today with that mirror flying off at the end of the straight at the FiA sitting on their ass until Sainz and Hamilton get a puncture because of it. That was plain out stupid leaving that out there for anyone to run it over in a passing zone then waiting until someone finally hits it to bring out a safety car. That really cost both drivers for their stupidity of not calling a SC or VSC to get it, it's not like it was something heavy. Leclerc goes all out for F1 constructors title: "Anything is possible"
Charles Leclerc has not given up on the dream of winning the F1 constructors' title with Ferrari. The Monegasque acknowledges that it will be difficult, but wants to go for it.

"It is difficult, because we are all very close together. So I think it will be very exciting, but that is nice," explains the 27-year-old driver. "21 points is still a lot, but anything is possible. We are going to give it our all."

Leclerc has plenty to celebrate with his second place in Qatar. The joy is especially great because he had not expected this to happen beforehand. "I am very happy. If someone had asked me beforehand whether I would sign for second place, I would have done so immediately, given our weekend. Especially considering the circuit, because the character of our car does not suit this track well," explains the eight-time race winner. There is a chance Ferrari wants to focus more on a structure with one clear leader, like in the days of Schumacher. I hope it is Leclerc he has the same age as Verstappen (27) he has to be at top at least once, Hamilton in a supporting role would be best.

The now 94-year-old British businessman was the big boss of the premier class of racing between 1987 and 2017. It gradually earned him the nickname 'F1 Supremo'.

Over the years, Ecclestone built up a fantastic collection of cars. The value: 500 million pounds (604 million euros). Among them are many beautiful Ferraris, including one that Michael Schumacher once drove. There is a reason why he is putting everything up for sale now.

Was glad to see them win it, they have really got their shit together lately and will be hard to beat next year. They have Red Bull on the back foot now, if Red Bull doesn't make strides this offseason they are going to be left in the dust until the new car hits the scene at the very least. Honestly I hope they melt down haha

Let's hope 2025 will be the year of Ferrari and Bernie Ecclestone plus all the fans can enjoy it.

RB (the junior not the senior team) has the best looking one with the all white. I thought Red Bull had the best ones when they went white but I see they stayed the same with the same ol boring look. RB definitely wins the day today

I don't like all that white in the Ferrari even though they're my team now. Too much, should have left the white for the wings IMHO.

Williams didn't change much but that subtle white pinstripe around the nose stands out and I like that.

Everyone else is boring to me other than these 3. I can't wait!

It will be a great season with four top teams if Max his car doesn't deliver he will move to Mercedes in the future.
