White House threatens ‘dire consequences’ for Iran if Houthis strike

This comes as a missile landed in Egypt’s Sinai, which appears to be an escalation by the Houthis.

More US strikes reported in Yemen: Al Masirah TV, which is affiliated with the Houthis, has reported more US strikes.

The channel posted a video on Telegram of a fire in Al-Hazm city in the centre of the Al Jawf governorate to the northeast of Sanaa.
The target was a government complex building in Al-Hazm District, Al Masirah TV reported.

A US general said earlier today that the US had struck at least 30 sites in Yemen since Saturday. He said the operation was ongoing.

The US will use “overwhelming lethal force” on Yemen’s Houthis to prevent them from resuming attacks, but US strikes on the Iran-backed group that killed 53 people over the weekend will not turn into “an endless offensive” and are not about regime change, the chief Pentagon spokesman says.

US President Donald Trump says Iran will be held responsible “for every shot fired” by the Houthis, who have threatened to resume attacks on Israeli-linked ships in the Red Sea in response to Israel’s ongoing blockade of the Gaza Strip.
