Ambush with gunshots yesterday evening in via Lucania, in Nettuno, near Rome. A 37-year-old, Cosimo Ciminiello, was shot to death by a killer who then drove away on a scooter. It is not clear whether he was alone or with an accomplice. The rescue efforts by 118 were in vain: the victim, originally from Modugno, in the province of Bari, was hit by a bullet in the chest and died shortly after. The police are now investigating the case and, in addition to carrying out the surveys with the Scientific Unit, have also collected a series of testimonies in the neighborhood and have taken some people to the police station to question them.

The investigations underway include those into a settling of scores in the context of the ongoing disputes between drug dealing groups in Anzio and possible links are being sought with the long series of violent episodes in nearby Aprilia. But other leads are not being left out. To find immediate answers, footage from security cameras around Via Lucania could be acquired.
