The Arab Who Ran with Crazy Joe Gallo | Hassan "Ali Baba" Waffa

Ali Baba was a top member of the old Gallo Gallo. Maybe not as publicly known as some others, but Waffa was actually Crazy Joe’s closest friend and confidante and a very dangerous guy in his own right.

FYI, another little known fact about the old Gallo Gang was that Ali Baba Waffa was not the only Arab that Crazy Joe brought into their faction. In fact, Joey was known to have several Arab hoodlums with him. Another loyal hood was Louis (Louie the Syrian) Hubela.

Lisa (Mafia Student) actually researched and produced this video. But I do believe so. By all accounts, Waffa was a dangerous guy. And Crazy Joe Gallo loved him. So much so, that when Gallo got married, he made Ali Baba his best man. He was also Joey's personal bodyguard, and supposedly, Gallo considered him his best friend.

I think thats saying something, right?

It's funny the other guy you mention is Syrian I know an (half) Egyptian guy and he hates Syrians haha..

That is funny. But I guess here in America, especially in the mob, those two found they had more in common with one another -- more similarities -- than not.
