'Under the disguise of a UN agency, UNRWA is a Hamas proxy,' says foreign minister in response to ICJ hearing
Foreign Minister Sa'ar calls UNRWA 'Hamas proxy';

Israeli foreign minister Gideon Sa'ar said Monday that the top UN court's hearing on humanitarian aid to Gaza was part of a:
1. "systematic persecution and delegitimization of Israel",
2. and the UN is preventing "Israel from obtaining the arms it needs to defend itself."

In a live briefing, Sa'ar called the procedure "another attempt to politicize and abuse the legal process to persecute Israel."
"The UN has become a rotten, anti-Israel, and antisemitic body.

Clear evidence shows that under the UN and its Secretary-General, UNRWA ," the UN agency for Palestinian refugees:
1. "employed terrorists who took an active part in the October 7th massacre,"
2. going on to call UNRWA "a Hamas proxy."

The United Nations' highest court has begun hearings Monday into Israel's obligation to "ensure and facilitate" urgently needed humanitarian assistance to Palestinian civilians in the occupied territories, bringing the ongoing conflict in Gaza back into focus in The Hague.

A week of hearings has been scheduled in response to a request last year from the UN General Assembly, which asked the International Court of Justice ICJ to weigh in on Israel's legal responsibilities after the country blocked UNRWA from operating on its territory.
