Large amphetamine lab dismantled in Belgium
The Belgian federal police have discovered a large drug lab for the production of amphetamine in Bree (Belgian Limburg). The public prosecutor in Limburg says that two Dutchmen and a Belgian were arrested. An investigating judge has placed the three in pre-trial detention.

It concerns a Belgian of 61 and two Dutchmen of 41 and 27 years old. The Dutchmen are said to have contributed the chemical knowledge for the chemical processes and the Belgian acted as an assistant. The lab is said to have been active for more than a year and to have produced hundreds of kilos of amphetamines every month.

Large amounts of synthetic and hazardous waste were also found at the lab.
