Court of Appeal suspends detention of nephew Ridouan Taghi
The court in Arnhem has suspended the pre-trial detention of Aïmane Taghi under conditions. This nephew of Ridouan Taghi was sentenced to five years in prison in April last year for drug and arms trafficking. In the appeal, the court has now ruled that Taghi can go outside with an ankle monitor.
The court bases its decision on a positive report from the Probation Service, and finds that the personal interests of the suspect and the long duration of the trial now justify a suspension. This was confirmed by Aïmane Taghi's lawyer, Yehudi Moszkowicz.
