Trump's antisemitism task force head: 'The shooter shouted "Free Palestine," but we must free ourselves from antisemitism instead'
Leo Terrell, the leader of the US President Donald Trump administration's antisemitism task force, responded to the shooting attack that killed two Israeli embassy workers, Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim, in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday night.
"The shooter of these two beautiful souls shouted, 'Free Palestine.'
What we need to do is free our society from antisemitism and the violence it fuels! That's the real fight. And we will not back down."
Terrell's task force has been explicitly focused on pro-Palestinian activism, particularly on college campuses. His comments indicate this strategy will only be further entrenched following Wednesday's killings.
