I feel that Marijuana is a drug that has different effects on different people and while it is a negative influence for many, I feel that it can do positive things for other people too.

On another note... I think that the illegality of marijuana is the main cause for many people (kids mostly) turning to the abuse of legal substances. For example, I know kids that take what is called "Tripple C's," which is Corcidin Cold and Cough Medicine. The abuse of legal cough medicine is incredibly dangerous and addictive and many young kids have died from this. One kid I know from college tried abusing this drug for the first time last week and within an hour he was passed out in a pool of his own vomit. We didnt know how what to do, but thankfully he came to after a while so we didnt have to take him to the hospital. After his experience I decided to research "Tripple C's" online and I found that many many kids die from this drug each year. Also, many who abuse it claim they take it as a legal alternative to marijuana. This is just one example, but I feel that if marijuana was legalized then the number of kids who abuse drugs like "Triple C's" would go way down.
